What is Xbmc and why would I need it?

If you download XBMC to your phone you can watch anything at anytime......ANYTHING!

I've been playing around with it, just found out how to add tv and video add-on's to watch
just go to videos and click add-on's. gives you a long list of video sites to add like discovery channel, espn, and nfl network
not sure about the other stuff. still playing around with it

Yes you can shoot it to your tv. Install the repo that I posted on the last page on to your phone and down load xbmc and xbmc icon pack. Make sure you get it from that repo because I tried the other ones that were already in cydia and they didn't work. Once you have XBMC on your phone follow this link.

I haven't done it yet but I am fairly confident that you could put the Sports Devil addon on which would give you access to any live sporting event. I got rid of cable once I figured this out. I had jailbroken my apple tv2 and didn't realize the phone could have XBMC installed also. It actually works better for me on the phone.

Yes but the stock addons are weak, you need to add Mash2k3

Went over to a buddies one night and he had all this on a JB apple tv2 I bought one the next day. The tv will do even more but the phone version is nice.

If you haven't downloaded "activator" then you should do it. You never know when you might need it, and I found out yesterday that I needed it.
I've had my iphone 5 pretty much since it came out so there is no warranty on it anymore so any problems I have I'm just screwed.
Well I found out yesterday that my sleep button on top has started going bad. Over half the time I press it, it will not cut on or cut off my screen. So I go through activator and set up my volume up and volume down buttons to cut the screen off when I press and hold either of them.
But I would recommend downloading this and setting up some backup plans.

Mine has been out for a while now, I have been using Assistive Touch for lock/ power off. Will check into Activator.
ETA: Activator is legit
ETA: What is the add on that lets you change the carrier symbol? Fake Carrier?

Activator is one of the essential tweaks.
I have all types of set ups for it. The one that I use 15-20 times a day is this:
Enter wifi--> disable cellular
Leave wifi --> enable cellular
Helps with preserving cellular data, which if you recall earlier in the thread I was bitching about it
Also have tap status bar twice to lock phone. Flick safari up to activate root menu. shite I could go on an on.

Remove the two spaces and add the url as a source in Cydia.
