People aren't anxiously awaiting someone to post in the thread. It's a come and go thread so you gotta be patient. 
But to answer your question, I haven't seen or heard of anyone here experiencing any battery drain issues or speed reduction of their 5s. I have an iPhone 5 myself and I cannot tell a difference. If there is any battery drain going on it would primarily be for one of two reasons (or both). Either they have a ton of location data turned on or they are searching cydia frequently.
I think that user experience is going to be different from phone to phone regardless of what model it is. You may have problems with yours but someone else with the exact same setup could have a different experience. My advice is if you want to jailbreak (assuming you haven't already) then make sure you get a good backup through iTunes first and then go for it. If you don't like it or have a bad experience then you have a good backup to restore to.

I am jailbroken on a 5S and I really haven't had any issues with battery. I maybe sometimes have to charge towards the end of the day, but I'm also on my phone a whole lot.

So I get a phone call from my parents saying I am the culprit for going over our gigabytes for the month. Apparently AT&T has billed them $15 11 times in the past 13 days. (It's not all me, it's a family plan, but I am tearing it up). I can't imagine it's the jailbreak, because this has been happening since November. Thing is, I am steadily on wifi and hardly ever stream music or YouTube when not on wifi. Can anyone explain this to me maybe?

Are you using any of those tethering apps? That would be the only thing I can think of. I have unlimited data so I don't notice any difference in my bill but I haven't gotten any notices of being around 5gb of data like I have in the past where they threaten to throttle me.

No I'm not. It's a family plan, 5 people. Me and one other phone are putting up the most, other phone being the worst of them all. But this has all been within the past 3 months, and I'm not doing anything differently. I have no clue what it could be, and I highly doubt it's because I'm jail broken, as I've done this on every phone I've had since the dawn of JB.

Yeah, I wouldn't think it would be because of JB'ing because that should not be pulling any data.
The only reason I asked about the tethering is because I know there are some out there that users like to use but AT&T frowns on it and will charge you if they catch you doing it.
The only other culprit I could think of would be location data. That would be very viable if you are using a tweak that is constantly pulling location data but I don't think it would be enough to run data up real high.
Sounds like maybe a call to AT&T needs to be placed to find out exactly what the extra data charges are for.
eta - if I google something like jailbroken iphone at&t $15 charge or along those lines all I'm seeing are links to tethering and how at&t can tell if you are tethering.

Yeah it's not the tethering, but while I did a little digging on google, I noticed my location services were on. Quit all background apps, and sure enough location services were still running. Seems like a tweak may be running it non stop. I've yet to find the culprit, but for the mean time added a flip to CC for Location Services. Guess I'll find out if that was it, seeing how AT&T has charged us 11 times in 13 days.

I would probably guess that it's not compatible with ios7 and that's why it's not working.

I searched the OT and didn't get any results for icon masks so if it's been posted I apologize. I like changing my icons but I hate when a theme can't change all my icons. Icon masks is cool because it can change your icons in over 90 different ways. It keeps the look of the icon and changes the shape which I like. I use the circle zoom theme on my Android phones so I really like the circle look on my 5s.

There used to be a tweak called Theme Icon Maker. It would apply the same mask to all icons. I searched for it last night but it had a status that said it would not be updated to ios7 because 7 already supposedly masks icons. I don't believe that myself. I had downloaded a nice icon theme but got rid of it because it didn't mask all icons the same. Yeah it gave them the same shape but that was it. This one made the icons they had black but icons not supported looked like they do without the theme applied. I just couldn't have that.

A couple of the XBMC plugins are broken on Cydia you need to go this route
Step 2-iPhone: Manage - > Sources -> Edit -> Add
Step 2-iPad: Sources -> Edit -> Add
