This family is deadlier than a pit of angry water moccasins. God only knows how many other people they have killed over the years, would definitely ligar those islands he owned with the drug dealers. God only knows how many bodies they will find
His family was definitely involved in covering up the death of his son’s gay lover, Stephen something.

Once the appeals have run and he’s really doing life, I hope he spills the beans on all the shady shite they’ve done

I'm glad he was found guilty. I'm shocked, but glad. I didn't think it would happen.

He did not look at the jury as he was cuffed and walked by.
Lawyers on Law & Order saying that when you go to prison for killing your wife and kid it will be hard time.
AM was counting on a country club prison playing lawyer for inmates and getting visitors.
One thing was AM didn't lose it. Wouldn't anybody break down and cry? Anybody see AM's brothers, sister, Buster?
Buster's life will suck. Even the brothers. I would move if I was Buster. His GF is a lawyer.
I think what struck the jury the most is he lied and Ms. Libby saying he asked her to lie about being there 40 minutes.
But I still cannot wrap my mind around blowing your own son and wives head off. Or even arranging it. I just can't. I would die for my children.

You seemed pretty good about not misrepresenting the evidence, making clear it was your theory/opinion. That’s my pet peeve in these threads.

I’m familiar with that case. I was unaware of that.
The suspect was found not guilty of her killing and sent to Monroe, LA to be tried for killing an Asian exchange student from Northeast.

I never heard a single person bring it up but I wonder if this was going to be a classic murder - suicide and then he chickened out. He already had the failed fake suicide. People that do that justify as "saving the family the embarrassment" by killing them first.
He's such a coward and liar I could see him killing them and then not able to pull the trigger on himself.

This dude destroyed a 100 years of family legacy.
I would argue he just carried on with the family tradition, he just got caught.* Everyone in the southern end of the low country knew exactly what the family legacy was already.
* that is almost inevitable over the generations predominately because usually each generation becomes more entitled and that breeds sloppiness in their crime.

The list of the firms clients that they stole their settlements, annuities from--had several other lawyers in AM's firm on the case.
Let's presume the whole firm is dirty rotten. Do they continue because they will never get caught? AM's brother? Ms. Jeanne who had to have a clue as finance officer seemed guarded when AM's paralegal confronted her.
A crippled deaf kid got his settlement stolen. How did the firm get away with the name change clean up?

I didn’t realize the murders were the same day he was fired.
They were not. Murders were the day firm CFO first confronted him about missing fees etc, and same day his highly influential father was taken to hospital for the last time. He was fired in September and next day he staged the fake shooting on the side of the road. I still believe that wound was from a tire iron or something.

I’d say it will be ok since he’s not in jail for killing his boyfriend at the moment.

We are on the same track here. That answers the nagging Motive question that everyone is so concerned with.

Cousin Eddie or some lowlife cartel guy? IF it was barrel to head to Paul it was cartel.

It all depends on the internal controls over the trust account. He’s not the first and won’t be the last lawyer to steal from clients. Given his prominence in the firm, it could very well be likely he had final say on checks and disbursements and the true books.

Ellick was a good con artist and a slick liar. He brought in some very large settlements and awards, so the firm probably didn’t look too deeply into fudged client expenses. I would presume the SC Bar Association or state Supreme Court would require an audit to ensure nobody else was in on the thefts and that all stolen monies were/are being repaid to clients affected.

Yeah apparently great grandpa was a mob boss with a badge and grandpa was a real piece of shite too. AM just wasn’t competent enough to keep the crime family rolling
