Like any self respecting Caucasian male, my middle name is my mothers maiden name and i carry on the pride of both fine lineages.

My middle name is my dad's first name. I would have been the 9th in line for the name. My mom said no way to that.

Very common in England among the uppercrust.

Man, that's so lame.

Hilarious how much the F150 Super Cab (is it King Ranch?) ballers think it's trashy, isn't it? Very common in the NE--save the Irish and Italians. fricking Catholics.

Its a latin american thing. Here, not so much.
I know in Spain, it's First Name + Father's Last Name + Mother's Last Name. Women don't even have to change their last name when they're married because the kids will automatically combine last names. Kind of genius, actually.

Is that true? I am a fan of the show but missed that

No, but it's not atypical among the eastern/Ivy League elite.

Some old school Southerners and northeastern WASPS make mother's maiden name son's middle name. That's what my parents did for me.
In that case, I think it's acceptable to use the mother's maiden name as much as you want.
Beyond that, I think it would be really fricking weird to use mother's maiden name for anything.

Yes my mother's maiden name is one of my middle names( I have 2). The use of mother's maiden name as middle name is pretty common in New Orleans I think. Many of my friends growing up had them too.
I don't introduce myself to other people by using my full name though, that's just douchey. Although I suspect most people in my social circle are well aware of my family lineage.

Yeah man. Glassman probably does. But most men use their own name.

I'm glad that I'm not in that situation, mom's maiden name is the same as dad's, minus a few letters. It'd be like "CroakaBait Richard Richards".
