Quite possibly the single worst thing I see on the roads.
Honorable mentions
- Text and drive (my daughter almost killed herself, young man I know did kill himself two days ago) Very sad.
- Stopping in middle of street to let people out of the car when one could pull over to the side.

It does no good.
People in Louisiana are literally clueless behind the wheel.

I usually just give myself a huge cushion behind these slowpokes so I can hit it and actually merge onto the interstate at a reasonable speed.

This is unrelated but I commute between NOLA and Baton Rouge for school, and without fail, there is always some motherfricker going 65 in the left lane next to a truck that's going 66 in the right lane causing all traffic to back up behind them.
Just wanted to throw that out there since we're bitching about drivers.

I use the entire on ramp before merging. By that time I'm at cruising speed and there's usally a huge opening for me to merge into caused by the jackass merging before me at too slow a speed.

Honk, and honk loudly. I find myself honking at least a dozen times on a trip from Houston to LA. I honk for driving slow in the left lane, texting/playing/talking on your phone and not paying attention, and generally not getting the F out of my way.

Or, it's just about as bad being behind the dumb fricks going 40 while you are trying to build up speed to properly merge into traffic. (When are they going to get on the highway? We're about to run out of the ramp room!)
I can only assume that none of the people who do this (and there are many) ever had proper driver's education lessons.

We'd all get there in time if idiots learned how to properly merge, which is the main reason for traffic on the interstates.
Too many scared drivers out there going 40 to merge, crusing on the interstate below the speed limit, slowing down on the interstate instead of on the long arse exit ramp. if you're scared to drive, stay off the fricking interstate.
