A shite ton of state cops have the interstate blocked off between bluebonnet and Essen. Just before the bluebonnet overpass.

I reported a dog loose on the interstate. That explains the massive police response.

Moronic "drivers" that are found to have CAUSED a massive clusterf&%$ on an interstate hwy. should lose their right to drive on such an arterial roadway for months and months !
Yet, they are simply ticketed {if that}, and sent on their merry way to commit more mayhem !
Common sense also dictates that 18 wheelers be limited to the right lane and at 5 mph less than the posted speed limit ! Would save thousands of lives.....we can all afford to wait a couple more days for the new washing machine !

I have often said that the damn 18 wheelers should be limited to the far left lane within Baton Rouge city limits with the other two lanes reserved for normal traffic. It would do away with a ton of wrecks and help with traffic flow to not have those things side by side blocking up the I10.

I was at the Old Perkins red light on Highland by the water park and this SUV came hauling arse down Old Perkins and got on I-10 west at Highland. About 8 state troopers were in pursuit, it looked like. Then another trooper came off Old Perkins and two more came from Troop A booking it to I10 west.
Then we got to the roadblock and had to stop. A couple more cops came. They finally directed us to the shoulder to pass on by and they apparently stopped the guy by crushing him against the concrete embankment between east and west just before the overpass going over bluebonnet.
Funny thing is I saw a cop going after an SUV with one headlight down airline south and guy turned down next to the Walmart in Prairieville. Might have been the same one, I don't know. I think it's Old Perkins next to Walmart, I don't know.

I believe most of the EU nations also require limited lane usage, lower speed limits and even limit Sunday truck travel on high speed roadways.
The trucking lobby spends big bucks to BRIBE our national legislators....it's a total DISGRACE !

Everything we buy will cost more due to compressed freight windows and routes.
Just saying...
