Also the last shots of the civil war were in Alaska

Alaska was a Russian territory until James Seward negotiated a deal to sell us in 1867 two years after the war was over.

Britain still has bonds outstanding from the Napoleonic wars. They are perpetual, and never mature.

I already commented on this - they were all paid off in 2014.

You need to look at a globe. Maps distort things on an area that is big enough. That's why when you fly from DC to Beijing you head due north over the North Pole. LINK

Oxford University is older than the Aztec Empire.

Cleopatra lived closer to the invention of Snapchat than the construction of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

woolly mammoths were still alive when the Great Pyramids were built.

The Stegosaurus is older than the T Rex than the T Rex is to us today.

In the 1930s you could buy an entire house from sears catalog. Was delivered via rail car and contained up to 30,000 pieces. Many are still standing today. Cost was under $1,500 to $1,900.

Very nice and elaborate homes for the time.

It is commonly accepted on this board that the poster, Owlfan86, is Hispanic, handsome and heterosexual.

None of these things are true.

Just found that adding a potato to your soups does NOT suck the salt out.
