Intelligent alien life vs. belief in God.

So....question:
Can one believe in God, and be a devout Christian and also believe that there can be other intelligent life in our universe?

Of course, why couldn't you?
Its the same way many Christians accept scientific truths like Evolution. Understanding scientific principles shouldn't preclude one from believing that there is a higher power and that that higher power set everything in motion.
Most Christians, especially Catholics, don't believe the literal word of the old testament.

It's unintelligent to know as much as we know about the universe and not believe in some form of other life in the universe.
If your God says you shouldn't...I would reconsider that God

Yes, if Jesus can save us from being huge pieces of shite, he can save other civilizations from being pieces of shite too.
It's arrogant of us to believe we are the only life in a universe that our tiny brains can't even comprehend

This is false.
To the OP, yes I believe the two ideas can co-exist, however if you look to the story of the Creation in the Bible it specifically says the stars were created to tell time. Earth was made before the stars, and man was created in God’s image. It also says to be skeptical of false prophets and false signs. So I do not believe aliens exist.

Maybe Jesus was an alien that took on a human form that our minds could comprehend.

I'm leaning mostly towards this.

of course they can, but it's stupid and contradictory. If people would put 10% as much effort into learning about Christ as they put into aliens, evolution, etc, this planet would be 10,000x better off.

Absolutely!! Why not?

They could, but they'd be wrong.

Jesus can save us from being huge pieces of shite
B) He's the cause for a lot of people being huge pieces of shite (well he and his other variations)
Coincidentally I was watching Coneheads this morning and Prymatt laughed and snickered while reading the bible. I imagine that's exactly how it would actually happen if aliens ever picked up the good book and started skimming through the pages.

Logically, yes...
One has nothing to do with the other

No he's not, that's like blaming the inventor of rope responsible for lynchings...
Terribly off track statement to make...flirting with inhibited brain function

What if you believe God is an alien that created our planet in his spare time? Like his/her own ant colony or something? Then you would have to believe both exist.

Yes. Pretty clear if you read the Bible.

Some of the most evil things in history have been done in the name of some god.
