Inspection sticker on new vehicle

You tell the damn dealership to put a sticker on a new car.

I think you need the actual plate

This. I've never bought a new vehicle that didn't have an inspection sticker on it.

Nah the dealership usually puts it on. If the service dept is closed you can usually go back during business hours to get one

Inspection doesn't check brakes so why do ignorant people from New Orleans call it a brake tag?

I bought my new truck in June 2016 and I haven't put one on yet.

That's not true baw. I've bought several vehicles in the past 3-4 years and the dealer puts the sticker on. I often did't get the plate for 30-40 days. The last car we bought was on Saturday night and I went back on Monday morning and had them put the sticker on

I'm just going to guess the car then:

1) Minivan
2) Honda Accord
3) Mustang

It depends. I live in BR and bought my last vehicle in Lafayette. They couldn't do the inspection sticker because of the emissions tests required in BR.

How do they know the license plate #? The plate and vin # are written on the back of the inspection sticker.

Not sure what they write on there but I bought a new truck last weekend and had one put on Tuesday during my lunch break. I still have the paper tag.
