"Our match was met" is something I've seen posted on FB by an individual who thinks they are smart/cute. It made me chuckle.

Saw this on FB once: My biggest pet peeve is when people SAY "should of". It is "should have" people. Dumb bitch.

Incorrect. You are misunderstanding the phrase. Near means "close" in its use here, not "almost". So it means a miss that was close, not an almost miss.

24/7/365 meaning 24 hours/day 7 days/week 365 days/year

It is not a logical flow. It should be

24/365 meaning 24 hours/day 365 days/per year

or

24/7/52 meaning 24 hours/day 7 days/week 52 weeks/year

I hate it when people think they're being good grammarians by saying "I feel badly for her." No. You feel BAD for her. Just like you would feel sad, mad, glad, you feel BAD. You would only feel badly if you burned your fingertips with acid and couldn't feel things very well.
