Anti-racism cirriculum is in no way, shape, or form the same thing as diversity or sensitivity training. It's basically telling these kids that if they're not doing what their social justice overlords are telling them to do, then they're no different than the klan. This shite is legit dangerous.
100% agree. While easy to mock and often unnecessary, diversity and sensitivity stuff in corporate setting at least is fairly benign and sometimes helpful to certain people. This shite is downright evil

Is this real or not? 7 pages of bitching with only 1 post even mentioning whether this “faculty staff” even has the authority to implement this.
Would suck if so. I have 2 semesters left. Can’t really transfer anywhere. Would have to suck it up. A degree from the university I’ve loved my whole life and I’d just put it in a shoe box somewhere and forget about it. And then have a P&G bonfire with anything that has those 3 letters on it. I’d send my kids to the Florida University of Alabama @Oxford, MS before id send them there. Hell, may have to look at Liberty’s degree programs lol

OweO has already been around. Bitched a little bit, and I pointed out that he voted for this. He wrote some 2 or 3 paragraph response and hasn't been around since

I don't think all Dem politicians or voters are batshit insane but this is mainstream in that party now. I don't see how otherwise seemingly rational people can't see that.

Everything is feelings and emotions now. Everything. Trump is an a-hole who says mean things. They can't have that.

Hardcore, batshit leftists say it's not enough to be anti racism, you have to be an active anti racist warrior. This is puritan shite that led to witch hunts.

Identity politics, critical race theory, socialism, massive wealth redistribution isn't exactly the fringe anymore. It's right in front of your face.

I had to come back to this thread to say I truly cannot even imagine what being on 99.99% of college campuses would be like today.
My peers and I were mostly anti-establishment rebels in the early/mid-90s and scoffed (like literally in professors' faces) at leftist bullshite. We hung out with liberal professors on Chimes street etc. and did all the things that college kids have always done. But I can honestly say it was truly different then, compared to what I'm seeing now (I split time between two major university campuses and have prof friends at others).
The common thread of placing some value on liberty and individualism appears to have snapped.
Back in the LSU time machine: The sociology department was full of Marxists even then and drew our ire, particularly. The wannabe Buddhists took over part of the religious studies/philosophy dept and ran amok (and the leader of the cabal was a pseudointellectual douche with a master's degree). I found the English dept mostly harmless back then. And political science, economics and history all had great professors.
I once got a "poli sci" class axed because it was being run surreptitiously by Edwin Edwards's former campaign manager, and the head of the dept didn't even know it existed.
Anyway, my point is, the evil, insane leftist bullshite at LSU was relatively contained just a few decades ago and was counterbalanced by some awesome professors and admins in the humanities and social sciences, and robust hard sciences.
And yet we still were compelled to resist the Marxist pressures we thought were trying to take over. I guess we lost. And f this gay earth.

Lol, yeah I know. But in my mind as well. It takes away from it

You don’t really see it on campus on a day to day basis. I can’t think of one time that I saw some bullshite. Obviously there’s videos of it but it’s not like it’s all day every day. I’ve had a few looney toon professors but they were all freshman level bs. Calc 1, english 1001 & 2000. Not 1 single instance of BS from an engineering professor

I used to think that too - but I have a box with a few in there - after a while no one really cares what they are and where they’re from

This would have been a lot easier to read with punctuation.

Also, it always makes me giggle when they can list all the “outrage killings” (most of which are bullshite) of the last 10 years on 2 lines of text and then call it an epidemic

No, I’m not explaining it right. I mean to me, personally
