I’m not quite sure, the guy just had a gift. Knew how everything in a school and school district worked and functioned—everything, great connections, great people skills, knew how to correct problems without being a dick, total authority figure to kids without being Joseph Stalin, could paddle a kid and have said kid respecting them five minutes later. Funny thing you say that, but I guess the guy is a unicorn.
