You can't get drive thru margarita's from Taco Cabana anymore? I don't remember having to mix them myself but it's been years since I lived in Houston

Well you can now, though you have to mix yourself.

I get that you can right now can but it seems like you could get them already made through the drive thru 7-8 years ago

You're not wrong on the legislation....But events like this are what sometimes get the ball rolling to change markets.
The bible belt states will go back, but a state like florida, could easily see this being the straw that breaks the camels back.
All that may be true, but your OP implies that Gov. DeSantis will just forget about the E.O., paving the way for your new business. Which isn’t going to happen.

It wasn't a thing when I moved to Tejas in 2014.

It'll get reversed once restrictions go away. We don't need to encourage more drunk driving here.
Our booze laws have gotten so much better in the last decade that I don't care if they roll back these rules, I guess.
I'm glad the restaurants/consumers have the option, but keeping the right to buy a couple of beers or a mediocre and marked up bottle of wine with a to go meal just isn't something I'm that concerned with keeping. I feel like a lot of people doing it won't see the utility once things are back to normal. And a lot of people doing it are probably just trying to help out the restaurants.

I think I've only gotten Taco Cabana from the drive thru like twice and once was last weekend for Margaritas so who knows.

The comment was somewhat tongue in cheek (as is the OT lounge in general), none the less, it's something to think about. And I don't think anyone can say what will and won't happen right now, given how unprecedented this all is.

Why aren’t bars being allowed to sell to-go beer & liquor?

You have to serve food to qualify

What? Even with our dumbass law of not being able to buy alcohol on Sundays up here in TN, we’ve been able to do this for well over a month now.
