Got an email from local chain advertising come get your togo margaritas....
Any other Florida baws wanna go in partnership and open up drive thru daq shops??
Also what are the chances that the E.O. that DeSantis signed doesn't get reversed after this is over.....

Georgia allowed restaurants to serve to go alcohol during this.
I doubt it's a thing here for much longer.

Governor Beshear signed an executive order to allow this in Kentucky a few weeks ago.

Yeah this has been going in restaurants in other states for weeks now. You’re late to the party.

They’re actually waivers from the various state ABC boards of existing permits to allow alcohol sold on premises to leave if still in closed container.
They all read “for the duration of state restrictions on dine-in operations” or something similar.
Nice try, though.

here in Houston, it’s not exactly like the drive thru daiquiri shops in La. They premix the margarita with exception of the Tequila. That is separate in a small bottle which you have to mix in, presumably after you get to a place that allows drinking alcohol.

Yeah been doing this in Louisiana for 30 years now... we’ll at least with daquiris.
Other restaurants here have been doing togo order drinks as well lately.

Haven’t most states done this already? Ohio did it weeks ago as well

Austin has had this since the beginning of this

If all these states make to go a thing, then there is no reason left for me to stay in Louisiana.

You're not wrong on the legislation....But events like this are what sometimes get the ball rolling to change markets.
The bible belt states will go back, but a state like florida, could easily see this being the straw that breaks the camels back.

Dude even Texas with our dumb liquor laws is doing this.

Get the same service here in Texas - certain to end once restaurants back in business.

They’ve been doing this for a month in Florida dude.

Dumbasses. Don’t they know they can just tape the straw?

It'll get reversed once restrictions go away. We don't need to encourage more drunk driving here.
