Ah, the old plagiarizer. Yeah, the 80’s rejected him for that. But now, he’s our President. What’s that say?

That dude was a beast. The ESPN documentary on him was pretty sad, with the exception of one funny moment. Barry Swtizer told about when Marcus decided to leave Oklahoma the first time. He went to speak with Marcus's mom to see what they could do to keep him there. She lived in a trailer and told him that she wanted a double wide. So, a double wide trailer showed up where she lived and Marcus stayed at Oklahoma a little longer.
When he played for the Breakers, Dupree used to hang out all the time at the bar ‘Valentines’ at the Sheraton on the corner of Williams & Veterans in Kennabrah… my dad used to see him there, Dupree was only 19 yrs old, but back then it wasnt a problem for any 19 yr old to get into a bar, famous or not .

For those here who are not old timers like myself- the City of New Orleans once hosted something called the “World’s Fair”….. to get a season pass , you would venture to a place called “Maison Blanche” (ain’t dere no more), pay a few bucks, get ur picture snapped and you could go to The Fair as many times as you wanted.. it was quite a spectacle, and the absolute best time to be a kid in NOLA in the history of mankind .

Nola worlds fair is a rare case of something positive leftover if I recall correctly….River walk shops were all of the countries booths and a few of the hotels turned into condos and started the rebirth of the district down there..
