Well why do you think the teacher union is against going back to work. I'm sure everyone of the teachers and their union officials have been out to a big retailer in the last 5 months. Don't tell me your scared or worried about everyone's life if you haven't stayed locked in your house. The unions don't want people back to work so the economy won't recover.

in Caddo, 80% of the teachers voted on going back in person
yes, I have some young teacher friends who are constantly posting about how they are scared for their life, while also going on 3 beach vacations this summer and posting selfies at restaurants with their friends, but I don't believe they are the majority

Same girls who are afraid have been to the beach and other vacations multiple times. Wedding trips, bachelorette parties, family reunions, etc. They’ve had really enjoyable, long summers it seems. Posted on 8/5/20 at 10:42 am to BHS78

It’s a good idea but state law would have to be changed because of the graduation requirements which means the teachers’ unions would have a conniption fit.

Leaves plenty of room for all the usual subjects and elective programs.
My kids' school is doing this with block scheduling...It's pretty complex when you are talking about what would have been rotating schedules anyway before factoring in rotation between at school and at home...but I think it could work. It has taken a lot of creativity for them to adapt.

Hmm...so an organization, that likely forces those employed to become members, acts on behalf of the organization's goals rather than with, and perhaps against, the wishes of its members?

Why wouldn't they?
Unions are some of the top organizational donors to politicians, particularly for Democratic candidates.
The American Federation of Teachers is number 12 on this list.
Same site showing teachers unions in general.

You sir/madam are an idiot. Parents can't go to work if they can't send their children back to school or daycare. So yes they do have a powerful impact on the economy.

Look at the Senate hearing where Rand Paul showed the statistics of over 25 major countries that opened school and had no negative results from the continued decline of new cases. Paul asked if Fauci disputed the stats (they were from W.H.O), he did not! They also showed contact tracers proved there was not one single case of child to adult transmission of COVID-19 nor one single case of Adult to Child transmission in the world. Schools are safe to re-open. It's mostly politicians saying otherwise.

Kids are at different levels of education. Freshmen take senior level classes at virtually every high school in the country. This method you’re going for doesn’t work.
