Take the Plaquemine ferry to go play golf at the island (twofer-solid course and get out on a boat on the Mississippi River)

I like the sound of that. Is that course typically in decent shape?

Go to Florida and skip this cesspool of a state.

Thought about a guided fishing tour

Guided fishing tour in BR? Are you looking for something to do in BR or just in South LA?

It’s too hot to do much. Id hit up Top Golf (in the evening/night), Casino, Tiger Stadium/facilities tour, state capitol tour, try some of the best restaurants in town for lunch and or dinner.

Really limited in mid July due to the excessive heat. But if you’re willing to suck it up you could always take the drive down to nola.

Grab some coffee and breakfast at Magpie. Climb at UpTown. Lunch at Iverstine. Top Golf. DiGiulio Brothers for dinner.

Do a swamp touring in an airboat.

I've never been on an airboat but would love to pilot/drive one of those things.

Fascinating.

Do not go to north Baton Rouge. Stay around LSU’s campus and/or the newly established St. George area.
