My neighbors husband who is healthy, active and in his mid 30’s has been in bed for a week with high fever, cough and several other coronavirus symptoms. He was tested last week for corona after testing negative for everything else and today the doctor called to tell him he doesn’t have coronavirus, just pneumonia.
I haven’t heard of people getting pneumonia so close to summer before so I just thought this was a little odd. I also wonder why if he didn’t have pneumonia on the day he went into the doctors office- how do they know it now? Do they just wait to let you know that once your corona test is completed? Makes me feel like the test is inaccurate.

I’m only invested in this since they are our neighbors and our kiddos had been swimming together the weekend he got sick. Anyone else run into this?

How is it taking that long for a Rona test to be returned?

Everywhere is doing results in a few hours these days.

Seems like he’d need a chest X-ray to diagnose pneumonia. Did he get that?

I know, I’m not sure. I had asked her the same thing.

Didn’t think of that, I’m not sure if he went back in for one.

I had an employee get injured. Doc wanted him tested for Covid-19 before treating non life threatening injury.

Employee had test done 2 days before injury. Got results. Negative. Went for Dr ordered test. Positive. Went for 3rd test because wtf. Negative. Went for 4th test because seriously wtf. Positive.

Not coronavirus, "just" pneumonia

He would be better off having "just" coronavirus.

They are rock, paper, scissorsing it in the lab. They are either swamped, drunk or bored.

Dear Facebook, my neighbor doesn't have corona, but I'm hoping he does so I can tell people I'm a cornona survivor hero.

Eta- you even title your post to make it sound like you were on your death bed with Rona. Get fricked.

Pneumonia has been developing in some people with Covid. They seem to fight off Covid virus fairly easily but once the Pneumonia sets in, it takes a toll on the body.
