A patty melt at 5am after drinking and gambling all night makes me want to believe in Jesus.

Y’all are arguing about two of the skankiest drive through places in America. If you don’t throw up on the floor of your car on the way home, they’ve both improved.

$24 for fast food is laughable.

First, the tier of Shake Shack, 5 Guys, etc., is a step above fast food.

Second, for two people to go to Burger King, you’re likely spending about $14 on two meals. Had I not gotten a beer, the bill would have been $17-18.

So no, it’s really not laughable.

You lost all credibility with that statement. Whataburger is one of the few fast food places I ever stop at

I agree. Pretty delicous when I'm hammered drunk but that's not the strongest endorsement.

Yeah but for $14 ur getting 2 big arse burgers, 2 large fries and 2 large sodas.

A burger at shake shack is like $7, and it’s going to be on the smallish side. $18 spent at shake shack will not fill up 2 adults.

Shake shack isn’t fast food, it’s fast casual (similar to chipotle). Burger King is fast food, and in n out is fast food. You need to compare in n out to other fast food joints, not shake shack.

Even sober, it's hard to find a better fast food burger.

Won't argue that. It's the people that elevate it beyond that who make it overrated.

For sure. I still feel trashy AF when I eat it. Sometimes I just can't resist.

For whatever reason my area has a ton of "mom and pop" burger joints around the same price point, and usually with better burgers, so I normally do one of those. But, yeah, Whataburger is definitely one of the better chains for the price. I think it's overrated but I don't think it's bad.

It's fast food. It's way better than McDonald's for $7-8 but still fast food.

If you are willing to spend $10-12 you can usually get a burger at a locally owned mom and pop place that will blow it away.

But it IS more expensive. Significantly so? Maybe not, but a straight cheeseburger meal at In-N-Out is like 6 bucks...

I had Shake Shack once and liked it. I've been to 5 Guys twice and the last time the shite was so greasy it bled through the bag and got all over my car seat. Never again. 5 Guys can kiss my entire arse.
