Grab a back pack, fill it with water and disposable food from the pantry. Grab my shotgun, shells, and my roommates pistol and shells and my kbar knife.
Grab a bicycle, throw it in my car,drive down to city park where there's enough water to cover a car. Roll all windows down, wait till no cars coming, drive car into water.
Put on hat and sunglasses, get on bike, ride home off road.
Each of my neighbors has an attic. Decide which one is most volnerable, jump the fence, climb into attic. Wait 5 days.
Anyone comes home, I doubt they look into their own attic. If they do, there are only 1 or 2 people living there, I can kill both and drag them into the attic and just wait 5 days.

I would dye my blonde hair black, over-tan my fair skin to a crazy orange like some people do, and fly to a remote island to lie in a hammock for five days.

Exactly. Hide in plain sight.
If you were allowed to have one person help you disappear, your odds would go up exponentially. A second helper would pretty much guarantee success.

The whole point is do you think you could go a week without being seen by a single soul on this planet. Meanwhile, every single person is looking for you.
