Good luck, GT23. It won't be easy but you can do it.

Be careful. I know 3 people that killed themselves on Chantix. There are better and safer ways to quit smoking

That's actually a great off-label use of this drug. It works

Just use e-cigs for a few weeks, taper down and stop.

Good luck. Hope you don't kill yourself.

I'll keep knocking back my cancer sticks until I have the will to quit like a man. Screw taking a psychotropic drug to help me quit.

Yes. Seriously. It's one of the side effects of Chantix. Look it up.

It messes with your brain patterns and causes suicidal thoughts.

Ecigs are actually a great way to quit you can slowly lower the nicotine dose until it's almost gone and then quit.

Also, the gum and patches help ween you off of nicotine.

Chantix tries to change the chemical patterns in your brain and it's a scary thing to do that.

Truth is you're never going to be fully over cigarette cravings, but you can find the will power to ignore 99% of them.

Good luck quitting.

Within about a week I started hating the taste of cigarettes. In under a month I noticed that I didn't crave them anymore. I quit the Wellbutrin after about 2 months and haven't really wanted cigarettes since except for rare instances (usually when doing something involving drinking). But I have no problem being around people who smoke or anything like that.

WRONG

It's a seriously serious problem with the med. I know of someone personally that went off the rails whilst on it. Wanted to kill himself, talked crazy gibberish on the reg, etc....

The man is trying to quit smoking. Give him a fricking break. If you saw him smoking you'd probably say "how disgusting" but then also shite on him for trying to quit said disgusting habit?

Why would I give a shite about another man's vice that is not affecting me? I leave that behavior to the women folk.

I took chantix and didn't have any side effects.

You can still smoke while taking chantix for the first week or so. What helped me the most was writing down the time every time I smoked.

Would try to cut back a little each day.
