Would this still occur if we made passing on the right side illegal? I’m not sure if it is a law or simple common courtesy, but I like how the Germans only pass on the left. Once they pass the car in front of them and they are clear, they switch to the right lane. It’s a really simple concept and much safer knowing you won’t have anyone passing you on your right.

Sounds great in theory, but in practice, not so much. One dipshit driving slow in the left lane could back up traffic for miles. Too many entitled and/or clueless idiots in the US for this to actually work.

I’m a lifelong BR resident that recently moved to Houston.

Houston Drivers are definitely different. People there don’t give a rats arse about a stop sign or running a run light. Yellow mean go fast , first five seconds of red are fine too.

I think it’s because the city doesn’t (well, didnt) need the money as bad as BR does so the police aren’t as much into revenue generation. I ran a red light in front of a cop 2 weeks ago and just knew he was gonna come after me.

It is only going to get worse. Cops aren't going to risk their career when a traffic stop goes bad. No cops embolden the shitheads to do what they want. Good luck everybody.
