I just sort of ignore it all, but.. and I might be alone here.. Juneteenth doesn't bother me nearly as much as pride month.. And its not because I dislike gay people, that's far from the truth, I have no problem at all with gay people, I just think this shite is getting out of hand when it comes to everything we celebrate.
Celebrating the end of slavery just makes more sense than celebrating people's sexual preference (unless you are straight).
Its like several years ago when the number of transpeople skyrocketed.. It wasn't just the fact that more people feel more comfortable coming out, its that it has gone beyond acceptable, its celebrated and that appeals to teenagers who are still trying to find themselves and one way they can be accepted is by claiming they are trans.. And just like that they have a community behind them, they are so brave, etc. Now that they have their own month, it becomes more appealing to teenagers who needs to fit in somewhere.

And it wasn’t even as bad until now days when all the corporations and media outlets are in so deep with the garbage that commercials about it are in almost every channel 24/7, even the gotdamn DIY, food and history channels.
