You're talking about the worst case scenarios of drinking while you're arguing in support of general every day smoking in bars and other similar locations.

Someone chugging down an alcoholic drink in a bar does not negatively affect anyone and does not stink to others.

Mere smoking makes you stink to others and makes them cough too much and get watery eyes.

Your argument is that we have too many rules so no matter how much sense one makes we shouldn't add another.
And you’re argument is that there is no such think as overreach because you like all the rules that came before.

there are folks who only smoke while drinking alcohol. They don’t smoke at all outside of drinking.

Ok.

They can do that at home.

Not our problem if such a ban crimps their preferred smoking time.

You can drink at home away from smokers.

Nobody’s problem but yours if being around smoking crimps your style.

In peace? You mean as long as it doesnt inconvenience someone else? Except for the person that has to go outside to smoke.

The “it used to be expected” argument inside of an airplane doesnt make much sense because it was just going along with a culture thing where smoking was accepted anywhere. You could smoke at the frickin hospital. A bar is different. A bar is specifically meant to indulge and why is your opinion of not wanting to smell like smoke inside of a bar more important than my opinion that it should be accepted and expected?

Nothing is stopping smokers from smoking at a place like their house or outside somewhere else.

Or you just want to stink up another place instead of your house.

Y'all are acting like the bar was the only designated smoking place and now the government has take that away from you.

So you agree that we shouldn't ban something simply because it can be dangerous?

We're almost there, that magical place where we're on the same page, let's see if we can finish this journey....

If the owner of said place is okay with it then sure.

Well the government did take it away. That’s not debatable.

Might makes right.

Smoking bans in bars are becoming more and more common place. No putting that genie back in the bottle.

It's over bros. I suggest you put the cigarette down if you really want to go to the bar and drink.

Well at least you’ve admitted to being in favor of the government trampling on private property rights solely for your selfish desires.

Smoking is a filthy habit. Good riddance to its place in all public venues.

I like to pretend I hear a hiss by the door on the plane and then go back and smoke a cigarette to make sure we aren’t leaking air.

Because of a consistent campaign of negative stigma against smoking and the absolute avalanche of information about the damage of smoking becoming more and more readily available and publicly known.

If you're still smoking in 2019, you're just an idiot that likes to burn 200 dollars a month on cancer sticks full of tar and rat poison.

You're confusing selfishness for a public health campaign.

We're not making smoking illegal everywhere, just making it harder for you to continue a self destructive behavior.

I agree. An owner should be able to decide, but when you look at it from a yes or no point of view, I just think that smokers shouldn't be accommodated on certain public platforms.

At one time people were allowed to smoke on planes. I'm glad they did away with that.

There was actually a time when people could smoke just about anywhere. But people became more educated about the health effects of smoking.

I'm disappointed in you, I thought that you were against government overreach.

If a bar owner decides that they want to allow smoking in their establishment, what right does the government have to tell them they can't? Nobody is forced to drink there.
