Because even with current mitigation it is still risky.

I own a bar with a top of the line circulation system for smoke mitigation. It’s still risky

And restaurants too, right? And airplanes.

That’s a piss poor take. Of course you should be able to smoke in a bar. The entire idea of a bar is to be mischievous, consume, cope, loathe, and give no fricks. Its a place of indulgence and an escape. Tobacco and alcohol go hand in hand, they always have and always will. Restaurants are different because youre obviously consuming food and completely understand not wanting smoke in the air. Riding in airplane obviously is different too because everyone is in the same vessel and not by choice but by circumstances. If you walk into a bar, it’s by choice and smoke should be expected. If you dont like smoking, go to a restaurant and sit at that bar.

So you would rather clog up the legal system rather than protect citizens over known issues.

It wouldn’t be any different than it is now. People sue over regulated shite. What’s the difference in them sueing over unregulated shite that is still known to be dangerous?

That's no longer true. Smoke in planes used to be "expected" as well, and we've gotten to a point where that would be unbelievable if it happened.

Now when we go to a bar, we expect that there may be people standing just outside the entrance smoking. Everyone can enjoy their vices in peace.

Not when you tell someone they have to go out in the heat/rain/snow to enjoy theirs

Until you decide that shouldn’t be allowed either.

1st it was inside

Then it was no closer than 20ft from the entrance.

Next it will be nowhere in public

It never stops. After smoking is gone people will just look for something else to complain about.

I can't drink on the sidewalk but you can smoke out there. When you have a vice that affects other people you should be ready for some very minor inconveniences to indulge.

None. That is why it is a bad argument to say 'you can choose to go elsewhere'

I have learned two things this thread:

1. Not only does the left think healthcare is a right, but they believe employment at the business of their choice is as well.

2. Fighting Bob got laughed off of the PT and soon the OT. Maybe the soccer board is more of his speed.

A lot of places essentially have that already. That, to me has gotten to the level of over reach.

No it’s still a perfectly good argument.

Maybe not where you live

But when you have the same vice, but the other person enjoys a smoke with theirs, it should only be the smoker who is should have to make a sacrifice right? The non smoker couldn’t possibly find a non-smoking bar to enjoy?

So you agree that smoking should be allowed on planes and in restaurants.

Lol at anyone who willingly puts those cancer sticks full of tar and rat poison in their mouths and down into their lungs and hearts.

You deserve cancer for such stupidity when you live in a time where it's obvious that smoking cigarettes has absolutely no medical and scientific value at all and is rather in the negative column.
