People who support smoking bans are pussies and I don’t even smoke anymore

But you're advocating for giving businesses the right to run the way they want with no govt intrusion. So your answer should have been unequivocally yes, if you truly believe in the rights of the business.
Typical Democrat thinking. I can be ok with a business allowing smoking while also being against a company sending someone up in a bucket truck with a rusted out boom in 40 mph winds
Everything isn’t black and white

Yeah? So there are no risks at any job in the US?
Are you asking about unmitigated health risk?

Not comparable. The government owns the airspace so they have a responsibility insure planes don’t fall out of it onto people below.
But then shouldn't your position be, don't live where planes may fall on your house?

The only logical conclusion to your argument is that government can never overreach because it knows what’s best for everyone and has a responsibility to protect everyone from everything it seems dangerous even if it costs people their livelihoods.
I disagree with that conclusion simply because we the people tell the govt when they're overreaching by how we vote. People saw what the trend line looked like with fricking Hillary and elected trump.
And I would argue much of the smoking ban stuff is simply a reflection of the opinion of society changing.

Yes, and before you answer, think about the divers in the offshore industry who are almost guaranteed to do long term damage to their health due to their jobs

And that is regulated and classified.

I'm far from a Democrat. Anyone who follows me on Twitter would instantly know that given my thoughts on the shitshow that is Illinois politics.
My example was trying to get an understanding of where you fall, and if you're truly a zero intervention guy or just an intervention that I agree with guy.

Replace smoking with asbestos and see if everyone is still for business rights

I honestly think some would still be ok with it, which while I don't agree with it, it would be consistent with their position. I can respect that even if I disagree.

Not very well. Why do so many have short careers, early onset of several lifelong illnesses, and premature deaths?

Sure, but I’m not going to a bar where people are smoking asbestos

So you are ok with companies being able to secretively use carcinogens?
Your belief being that free market will work it out.

The best part about the smoking ban in BR bars was there were only like ten bars out of hundreds that allowed it

I'm guessing as they learn ways to make it safer new regulations will be enforced.
That job sounds insane btw.

Because even with current mitigation it is still risky.

So you are ok with companies being able to secretively use carcinogens?

So you would rather clog up the legal system rather than protect citizens over known issues.
