Any of you baws go to medical school late?

The destruction of pharmacy at the hands of the Pharmacy Benefits Managers is nearing completion. In addition, a bunch of new pharmacy schools were opened in the last 10 years flooding the labor market. Salaries are dropping like a rock.

I’ve got enough money to pay for med school and support my family for a condensed three year program. I think it’s a rock solid plan.

If I get more upvotes, I’m doing it.

Sounds like you are already planning on doing this regardless of how many internet strangers, with no context of your family and work dynamic, vote yes or no

I’m slightly younger than you and contemplated going to pharmacy school earlier this year. No joke.

Do it. Don't let anyone tell you you're too old to follow your dreams.

So you'll finish residency and make money around 53.

Work for 10-20 years. Sounds good to me.

Don’t be fooled. It’s just a bigger rat trap if those are the reason that you way to go.

If you have a passion to practice medicine, go for it.

Tell me about pharmacy in its glorious heyday. That’s one job I never really knew much about how they were educated and what made them a professional.

Do it. I know a guy whose mother went to nursing school when she was 50. It's never too late. If you have the drive, do your thing.

Yeah why not. But just be aware most of the cool shite is usually 5 to 6 years of residency and/or fellowship.
