About 10yrs ago we really started writing for failure to yield and riding in the left lane of travel.
Really? Where? I've never heard of anyone getting a ticket for this.

Years ago I was driving through Georgia/Florida and this older model tin can Toyota van flies past me doing at least 90.. I said "He is in a rush to meet his maker".. About 15 minutes down the road there is the van twisted up.. There is no way this guy survived.. We were detoured and I ended missing the I-10 west entrance.. That little mistake added hours to the trip... I know I was/am a dumbass for not noticing... But this was because of this dumbass speeding and dying...

Because people are fricking stupid.
Yep, definitely. Last Monday I saw a dude pass me on the left lane prob going 90 mph while raining for 4-5 hours on the FL Turnpike.
It was a new Yukon or Suburban, can't remember which. Of course owning those nice SUV's it's show-off time for them thinking they are invincible, "hey! look at me" how cool I am.
Fast forward 4-5 miles ahead and I see the same SUV at a stop, facing the direction of traffic, windshield busted, airbags deployed and front grill flattened like a sandwich. Owner looked fine but shocked with his hands on his head.
What was he thinking seriously?

Would it hurt them to slow the frick down?

looks like an interstate. seen a similar situation one time traveling 90. hungover college chick wrecked her honda in the fog at the very top of an over pass and stopped right at the bottom. we were behind her and watched the whole thing. she was a sitting duck to oncoming traffic traveling 80+. there was only so much time an oncoming car could react and switch lanes.
we stopped off on the other side of her and i never been so nervous in my life

A buddy works for a state patrol in the Midwest. It’s a state with a move over law. They will run a dummy set-up where they have someone “pulled over” with other troopers just past the spot.
One evening in the span of about 3 hours they wrote over 100 tickets for drivers not moving over.

Holy frick!
If that trooper takes a step back instead of forward before the second collision, he's dead.
He probably needed new underwear afterwards. I know I would have.

Damn, how do people not slow down with a cop car stopped with their light flashing in the middle of an interstate.
He was damn lucky he wasn't killed, especially when that second car just missed him by inches and probably doing 70 mph to boot.

Working wrecks on the interstate is one scariest and most dangerous events that LEO's work. I have seen a police car totally destroyed by a dumb driver running right into it. We always put the oldest police cars at the year and if we have a fire truck at the scene we put them at the back.

Didn't look like Trooper Daniel or Trooper Mount.

100% I'd need new pants before getting in that cruiser

He should go buy a lottery ticket.

I am unsure if this is sarcasm or not.
If you are from Texas yall apparently never have heard of this.

I should clarify. Not sarcasm. I've never heard of it enforced before.

That's crazy. Had a friend who died trying to help someone in the middle of the road similar to that. Sucks.

Why are people driving that fast? Holy shite.

We either need cell phone jammers on the Interstate or in vehicles like seatbelts and airbags. This shite is getting out of hand.

Former LSU baseball pitcher, Robbie Smith, was killed on an interstate in Florida while on the shoulder with his police lights on. One of Skip’s early players.
