Shell for one. What I mean by a good TA is if it was a high dollar 50 day or so event and the scorecard used to calculate the bonus came to a 1.3 or something like that. They aren't all like that, but it happens.

All these people going to buy every used golf cart, zero turn, and outboard on marketplace. In about 2 months when economy still isn't back and layoffs really roll in; you'll see outboards and golf carts for a fraction of what they cost today.

His whole thing doesn't quite add up. He claims his wife who is under 30 and works in a hospital makes a little bit less than him, which would be deep into the 100s if not coming close to 200/year. I don't know any under-30 year olds who work in direct patient care making 150k+ He said he's a degree'd plant baw. Let's assume he's an engineer and is roughly the same age as his wife. They make real good money, but it would be exceptional to make 150-200/year as a plant engineer with right around 10 years experience, if not a little less. And he ain't clearing that in Ops with that experience level either.

Who said she normally works in patient care? She is now due to covid but doesn’t normally. Who said I currently work as an engineer? I am degreed and am a plant baw. Doesn’t mean I am currently working as and engineer. Have nothing to lie about. Also I’m not including FICA.

Also def not in ops. ??

CRNAs make $75/hr base starting out in this area plus bonuses. So quite a few make at least that much. Also my wife is not a CRNA.

He could be a manager or engineer of some kind working on the turnaround team. One good turnaround and they can make a 30K bonus. Sometimes they might have two a year. The good plants pay very well and also give a 10 to 15% yearly bonus. He could be lying his arse off in this thread, but I was just pointing out that there are possibilities.

No bonuses here unfortunately.

Crickets here. I have no reason to lie about anything. I don’t consider myself and wife privileged at all. Money is relative is my point. Wife and I work and pay a lot in taxes for us. People who do not work and do not pay taxes and are currently being rewarded for such actions. My only point is that it’s very aggravating.

So y'all make a little less than 300k per year.

Yea, that's not working class

You're in the top 2% in Louisiana. If you think you're middle class, how do you think the other 98% feel?

Your wife could quit her job today and your household is still pulling in 3x the LA median household income.

The people who do work and pay taxes are getting a frickload more money from the stimulus than the people who don't pay any taxes.

Not my point at all. I’m not looking for a pitty party for us. My point is the working middle class gets screwed. Low income get crazy benefits and the rich pay their share but people like us get the brunt of everything.

I know people who are drawing more from unemployment than they made working plus the stimulus.

Not going to answer that as that is relative and I don’t want to offend anyone.

I promise it won't be anymore offensive than describing a 300k/year household income in Louisiana as middle working class

Ok so what is middle working class to you?

ETA: what would you consider working class? Just how much work is required to be working class?

In Louisiana, the "working" class would be like 20-45k for a household

Middle class would be 45-100k for a household.
