Oh shite! You just insulted half of this state. LOL.

I can understand if you were in the Navy and went to port and all the guys were going to get a tattoo of the battallion or whatever they call themselves, and you don't want to be the one guy that says no, or they'll all call you a pussy, and you are only 18 without a fully developed mind, etc.

I can understand being a pre-teen with smoking parent(s) and smoking was normalized, so you become a smoker, nicotine is very addictive. But at 40, what are you doing?

I can understand having a working class job and trying to make ends meet and also have a family vacation every year, and trying to stretch every penny.

What I don't understand is all the resentment against those of us who pay for umbrellas and chairs because we can. This is lowdown commie-style classism.

Let’s see at $200 a day for family of 4/5 for 4 days equals $800. Poor or not, I’ll carry shite for $800. To each his own.

The reason you are poor is because you suck at math and facts. But at least you are good at carrying stuff in the searing heat, like a mule.

Per beach policy no 4 legged tents past the flag pole, due to security not being able to see folks swimming.

They just don't want to have to explain how trashy 4 post tents on the beach are.

$200 a day for 4 days is $800 idiot. I’m far from poor, but if you weren’t so out of shape maybe you could carry your families stuff. My word it isn’t even that much. My kids and wife carry they own chair, towel and bag. I carry umbrellas and cooler. Wow.

Sounds like orange beach. I left my LSU canopy out the year they changed the rules. I drove to Foley and got my canopy back tho.

I don’t generally go to a beach to look for something to bitch about. Kinda defeats the purpose. But that’s me I reckon.

I saw a lot of people using wagons to carry their things on, good idea.

The gulf coast is overrated. Layers of people on the beach, traffic, lines everywhere, not being able to get tot he beach without an elevator.

There’s a lot of places in the south east that are a lot better. We quit going to the panhandle and Bama 12 years ago and wouldn’t go back.

I have the one with big, beach wheels - life saver. It folds up also.

Can't pick your neighbors with those rented chairs.

I like the canopy. We can put it where we want (behind the flag poles). Got one of those wagons with the inflatable tires. EVERYTHING goes in it (including the canopy). I'm not carrying anything. Canopy goes up in about 5 minutes.

Spent probably 1k on dinners over 3 nights...that's where I'd rather spend our money.

family of four would be 140 dollars for four days for two chairs and umbrella. So not 800 but 280. And for 280 I am not packing and dealing w a buncha sandy hot bullshite. Tip the guy 50 bucks on morning one and you will be wherever you want.

What about your other stuff? Music, ice chest, tubes, boogy boards, buckets, shovels, football, whiffle ball, Frisbees, bag of snacks, etc? My kids play at the beach all day.

If your kids are over 4 they can bring their boards and carry some shite. My wife carries a beach bag w towels and stuff. I don’t carry a speaker, no one came there to listen to my speaker

I have a backpack cooler I carry with pockets for phones and a couple snacks.

But I haven’t been to the gulf coast beaches in two years and don’t really plan to go back in the summer ever, u less my wife insists

Go soundside and bring a boat. If you don’t have one, Rent one. Sitting on the beach is boring for a day much less multiple days.

I won’t swear it off forever. But it is so expensive because I refuse the condo and elevator stuff. A house on the beach for a week with a single family and you can go somewhere with no crowds and relax with beach service in stead

My wife insist as do my kids. They help bring stuff, but we do more than sit in chairs. The volume I play music at doesn’t reach anyone but us. They fly kites, play volleyball, float in tubes, ride wave boards, bring friends, play football, whiffle ball, sit at waters edge in low chairs we have, etc. we do more than sit under umbrella with chairs.

Seeing the regular redneck riviera pissing matches and bitching threads make me so thankful I grew up in a mountain lake vacation family.

The reason I don't believe you is because I have been there and done that. I was once one of you.
