I've never felt unsafe on Siegen during the day. If we had to avoid all places where a murder or shooting has taken place I couldn't leave my yard.

Doesn’t sound like a healthy way to live

you're worried about the complete opposite side of town?

I avoid dangerous areas of town if I can help it but I'm not going to not live my life for fear that I might become a random crime statistic.

I would certainly prefer to live somewhere where this type of thing wasn't so common though.

No. I was just at that Circle K yesterday getting gas and nothing sketchy was going on. Plus, I’ve had Whataburger for the first time yesterday and now I’m hooked.

Problem is that this shite tends to follow you to good areas.

Even if you live in a good area, you will eventually deal with problems because they know where people with money live and when they probably won’t be home.

Cops caught two assholes in the act of robbing my house in a nice area of BR. They told me these guys were likely responsible for a bunch of daylight robberies at the LSU lakes, Capitol Heights, Southdowns, etc, where a lot of people who actually go to work live.

That’s great.

I’m convinced nothing happens on my street bc ‘they’ know I’m home all day - not the same for the other streets in my neighborhood

Corner of Lombard and Honey. I guarantee my parents knew your grandmaw. And yea people made fun of them for moving from MidCity(Richland) out to the country.

My neighborhood has low crime as well for now. I'm pretty close to some shitty areas though.

I’m sure the cops are familiar with the employee one way or another.

Tons of them run extra duty shifts at places like the ER, Waffle House, and IHOP because of all the idiots who show up at 3AM.
