I never put water in mine. It makes the air too warm, and too thick. I like the cold A/C air. I don't breath through my mouth anymore with my bipap, so I don' t have the dry mouth to worry about.

I have a strong cardio and lifting program. Since I stay active and respect myself, I have no need for these instruments.

A humidifier is not necessary with a cpap device..

We don’t use humidifiers on pt’s in the hospital setting who require noninvasive ventilation.

But if you do use it, I suggest distilled or sterile water, not tap water, and clean it regularly.

All these replies saying they dont use the humidifier.. I cannot believe that yall are doing that haha. That shite would dry me out so bad. I guess it could be that in Louisiana there is already sufficient humidity for that to not occur but that wouldnt fly where Im at, especially in the winter. One problem with that tho is the chamber gets so effin hot without the water I wonder if your inhaling VOCs because the plastic gets so hot.

To answer your question tho, you can get travel sized bottles of distilled water or just pour some into a container you can travel with. I use the travel sized bottles.

Your device doesn’t have a temperature control? Turn it to zero..

I buy distilled water by the gallon at home. When travelling I fill a plastic bottle with distilled water and bring it with me.

I imagined hospitals are the driest buildings on earth and the humidifier would be a must.

Change humidity setting to 0 and no water is needed.

Mine is normally set to 2 so I don't use much water anyway, but when traveling I'll pack 16 oz bottle (cleaned bottle) of distilled. At level 2, that will last weeks

But I was also told that a few days for regular bottled water is fine in a crunch

Nope, not with noninvasive ventilation, your nose and upper airways supply’s the humidity.

If I can grab some Smartwater without going out of my way, I'll do that. Otherwise, any bottled will do for a few days. You're not gonna die.
