Just order it online for pickup. Everything is under lock and key and no one is available to unlock it for you. Once you finally get it unlocked, they have to escort you to the checkout. It took me 45 minutes to buy a simple edger attachment.

Could go to a local small business and get it and not have to deal with that.

Subtle, “I didn’t steal from Home Depot” brag.

My last half dozen or so experiences at Home Depot have been pretty bad service wise, they seem to have slipped a little over the last several years. And they didn’t have a great reputation for it to begin with

I don’t know of any stores around here that carry Ryobi attachments, otherwise I definitely would.

Pick one up at your local adult book store and help a small business.

Baw, either it’s a Honda, Toro, or Stihl for the yard equipment.

No excuse for being understaffed, but it's hard to blame them otherwise. They are being robbed blind.

Not for my postage stamp sized yard- takes me and son about 45 minutes start to finish. No need to invest in yard equipment.

Echo and Husqvarna make some decent equipment too.

You have something that powers the edger that I'm assuming is Ryobi. Your mistake was made in the past.

Ryobi Tools is owned by a Chinese/Hong Kong company that manufactures power tools under multiple brand names. The Ryobi brand is exclusive to Home Depot. Other retailers are only authorized to sell blemished Ryobi tools.

My daughter used to work for Home Depot, and she told me this: those theft alert devices they put on expensive boxed items that look like a hockey puck with cables that wrap around the box? They are called “spider wraps,” and they are all dummies and don’t do a thing. Simply there as a visual deterrent. All the thieves know this, and they don’t think twice on their way out the door.

Not at the one in Gonzales. Where the hell is this Home Depot.
I've bought that same attachment and a new weedeater head in the last month out here. Nothing is locked up

The type of people that walk out of stores with stolen lawn equipment don’t give a shite if it makes an alarm go off or not

Don't worry. When Trump wins and implements his plan, shoplifters will be shot and items will come out from under lock and key.
