I have a center console safe and a holster mount bolted on the side of my center console. Truck gun goes from one to the other and back again. Removed every evening when I get out my truck after work.

I work in construction and often find myself in ROUGH areas in Houston before sunrise and after dark. My sidearm makes me feel more comfortable in these situations. I've never drawn it but there have been instances where I was glad it was there.

My employer knows I have it. He just chooses to look the other way.

That being said, I'm waiting on my LTC right now. Dang paperwork is taking forever

Knowing that using the weapon unjustifiably will send you to prison for a very, very long time is an extremely huge weight to bear when carrying.

I don't know any concealed carry license holders who are enthusiastic about using their guns outside of practice or sport.

Yep

Try to carry 100% of the time when possible not sporadically.

And go with what something comfortable so you’ll carry as much as possible. Better to have a single stack 380 100% of the time than something bigger 50% of the time.

I live in the big bad city and have never needed to feel myself to ward off the big bad wolf. You white people are so scared of your shadow maybe a Xanax would help.

I've had my hand on my pistol before but have never drawn it outside of a training scenario and I pray often I never have to use it in a self-defense situation. I carry EVERYWHERE I can legally. If I don't have my firearm holstered it's in a locked storage box and replace inside my IWB as soon as possible. I carry insurance as well.

Why exactly is your pussy full of sand over the fact that I carry? If you and I had a conversation in a public place you would never fricking know I had a concealed weapon. Me choosing to carry has absolutely no bearing on how you live your life.

I carry pretty much all the time. In my car I carry a 9mm Beretta. Have a gun in the study just off front door and another on top of fridge.

Had one incident at home where I pulled a gun on somebody. About 8:30 at night (it was dark) someone rang the doorbell and I normally go to the door with my 9 tucked into the back of my shorts or jeans. I could see through the door lites it was a big guy and I opened the door (we also have a solid glass storm door). It was a guy in kind of a heavy jacket sweating badly and he started his sales pitch. Told him we had a no soliciting sign and were not interested and I shut the door. He then came back up to the door and rang the doorbell again. I opened the door and told him to get the frick out of here or we were calling the police. He said I need to use your phone. I shut the door again and wife went ahead and called the police. The guy came back up on the porch and rang the doorbell about 30 times quickly. This time I opened the door with gun drawn, walked outside and told my wife to lock the door behind me and she is on with the police at this point and also has her gun in hand. The guy backed up into the yard and said something to the effect "you think a gun scares me?" At that point I cocked pulled the hammer back and aimed it right at his head. He kept talking some shite but he did it backing up and left. Police came to the house and then went looking for the guy. He was arrested because he had a warrant. It is not illegal to solicit.

Our entire neighborhood are homes on 2-4 acres with kind of long driveways. It is a decent walk from one home to the next and an odd place for solicitors, especially at night. Closest call I have had.
