Remain a US Citizen. You live there, can be dual citizenship, but you're not giving up your American heritage.

Not Australia. And I've spent about a month in Australia.

I totally endorse it for visiting, but it certainly feels pretty isolated. Plus, as noted, there are lots of things that can kill you.

I'd likely go to Europe or South America. Netherlands would be up there for me. Extremely laid back and friendly locals (similar to Australia in that regard), but more centrally located.

Chile, South of Santiago, just out in the country somewhere, not down into Patagonia though, too cold and extreme. Just want to have a little farm or whatever, maybe a vineyard

I'm gonna go with Florence, I feel like I could live a good life there making that much money. I'd probably have a second home on the Amalfi Coast.

Switzerland seems like it would be cool too and has a central location, but I've never been there so I'm not certain on that.
