Just take a picture of your current one and glue it to your new windshield. Save that 10 bucks.

I am pretty sure there is away for them to switch out the inspection sticker.

Well you can't get it off in one piece.
Maybe you cut cut your old windshield around the sticker and glue it behind the new wind shield.

The windshield repairman was able to save mine both times I had mine replaced.

they have gotten better at this. My wife just got her windshield changed and the guy transferred the sticker to the new one.

No, Pecker. You don't have to get a new sticker. They'll transfer the old one.

I was hoping they could do this.
Good to know!

used to be the old sticker would get trashed in the removal process. They seem to have overcome that hurdle

I know I've seen some in the past where they would cut the square of glass surrounding the sticker and attach it to the new windshield.

How would they do this?

yeah and it looks like shite. like you stole either the car or the sticker or both.

they would just break the glass around the sticker. sticker would hold the glass together

They would cut out the glass where the sticker was and then attach it to the new windshield somehow.
I remember seeing them a lot back in the day... it's something that stood out because of how odd it looked.

This.
I screw "The Man" every year by going to a dealership on a Sunday and taking a picture.

Any decent glass guy can scrape it off the old windshield and stick it on the new one.
(I owned a glass shop once upon a time)

How does one go about doing this so it looks legit? Ya know, research purposes and all.

most windshield guys are pros at taking the old ones off. I actually got my windshield changed so I could get a brake tag, but the Windshield guy put one on for me, so I wish I had just bough the brake tag and saved the $185 for the windshield.
