re: If you don't stand outside and look at your lawn after you cut it, does it even count?

You either have a tiny yard or you don't mind spending most of your day cutting grass.

have a very mature and tall 8 year old that cut our yard last weekend for the first time ever. I let him cut it again yesterday and boy does it look like shite.

My oldest turns 10 in a couple weeks and my wife has been on me to start having him cut the yard. I just can't do it though, lol. I know it'll come out sloppy and annoy the hell out of me.

Only if you weed eat it also. My goal is for my neighbors to just give up their attempts to equal my excellence. Most frequent comment I get is your lawn looks like bunny fur. Zoysia grass with no weeds is the bomb.

That’s awesome. I think it’s a great way to teach a young boy the value of hard work and doing things the right way. You are able to look back and immediately see the results and then take pride in the work you did. Why are able to take those lessons and start applying them to other parts of their lives.

Half acre lot. Probably less than half of it is turf, but it’s way more than most lots in DFW.
Human powered reel is fine if you cut every 3-4 days. It’s when you get back from vacation that things get reel and it’ll damn near kill you.

No idea. Some college kid cuts my yard for $80 a month.

I leave him a case of beer once a month as a tip

I use "Going to get the mail" or volunteer to go get a prescription, as an excuse to look at my handiwork..Driving away, and especially driving back to the house, are both satisfying moments, that should be private.

I'm still having trouble getting grass to grow in spots.

If you don’t have a battery powered push these days you are a cuck to gasoline. Had mine for 3 years never paid anything other than what I bought it for.

No carburetor issues or any other shite, no paying for gas. I sit back and enjoy my fresh lawnly paradise every Friday afternoon

Those battery powered lawnmowers have way too much plastic. They won't last nearly as long as the gas mowers.

Dude, what is wrong with you? Seriously.

At least he pulls out. Need to teach that skill to the young royals here in Memphis. Mebbe things would calm down in 13-14 years.
