The last plan was to put it off O'Neal. Studies determined the new zoo would make money, but Baker didn't want to lose the only thing they had so it was shelved...

How big could the primate section be, and would the zoo want them in cages or their native habitat?

those of you who said Gardere. Where have you been? There has been a zoo there for nearly 25 years.

St George if it passes. If not, Ascension or Livingston. That's where everyone will definitely be headed.

I would leave it where it is presently - I would just expand the zoo's fences until it totally encompasses Baker.

Just joking

Here's a recent article on possible directions of the zoo:

How about on that horse ranch next to Town Center?

If the seller was willing to ever sell it and not donate it, BREC could probably never afford to purchase it.

How about on the site of that old school on Bawell that is currently housing Lee High until the new school is finished?

Probably not enough space.

haha, that guy will never sell

He was the original owner of the land that Towne center is built on. He is very wealthy even before selling the land. I have been to the horse farm before, it is amazing.

I suppose that the City Park Golf Course is racist and must be torn down.

I guess that's as good of a place for a zoo as any.
