If the Zombie Apocalypse ever arrives, I'm taking over Ft Jefferson as my home base...

70 miles west of Key West in the Dry Tortugas.

How many people would be needed to defend it? 50? The only concern would be a constant fresh water supply. I guess a cistern for collection of rain water would work and it could be boiled before consumption.

That depends on how many and what people want to take it from you.

Good luck growing anything substantial in that soil and without a consistent supply of fresh water

Depends on what kind of ZA, if it's TWD you should be fine assuming you find out early on everyone is infected.

If it's WWZ you're still fricked

It’s getting close, but I need the world to burn so I don’t have SJW Zombies riding over in their bay boats every hour.

For whatever reason, I constantly think of strategic locations for the apocalypse.

This one seems like a winner

For a zombie apocalypse, that's more protection than you need and not enough resource access. You would be much better off somewhere in the mountains.

I’m heading to Fort Massachusetts off the Mississippi coast. Closer to a bunch of baws who can help handle those bastards.

I would try to claim a prison, all the infrastructure you need is in place.

It’s so bad that this thing has stood for 150 years since its completion in 1875. It’s construction started in the 1840s.

What would you do for food? That doesn't look like enough room to grow food for even just two people.
