I am not sure I can get myself to spend $50k on a truck, or any vehicle for that matter. But then, I never take on more than a 36-month note.

I'd use it as a down payment on a loaded F250

Ram 3500 DRW with Cummins and Aisin transmission Tradesman or SLT depending on rebates.

I’ll use it to haul my camper and other towing duties and keep the F250 just for a grocery getter lol.

Tundra 1794 edition

Edited to add: If the criteria is reliability and resale.

If not, Ford, Nissan, GMC/Chevy, Dodge.

I've driven enough rentals with the knob to change gears that I don't mind it.

My wife's Expedition also has it. It actually saves space.

Is there a failsafe to prevent the knob from being turned while driving?

If it were my money there is no way in hell I would spend 50k on a vehicle unless I were able to put a large percentage down and not hurt my savings that much. I currently drive a $10k vehicle and I'm happy with it.

Tacoma diesel with all upgrades

But then I’d wake up and buy a Canyon diesel since my dream truck doesn’t exist in the USA

Think I'd go with an F-150 XLT package. 4x4, 3.5 ecoboost, whatever options I can fit under $50k.
