More to the point, if you can't remember things what's the point of being reincarnated in the first place? If I'm going to come back I would at least like to have my consciousness and memories come back with me.

1. Does this belief system help the person to be good and treat others well, with dignity and respect?
2. Does this belief system lead a person to inflict any physical or emotional harm to the personal well-being of another?
3. While having belief in this system, does this person refrain from condemning those who don't agree with or share his beliefs / pressure them to follow suit?
4. While having belief in this system, will the person still help another that disagrees with him if that person is in need?

If the answers are 1. Yes; 2. No; 3. Yes; 4. Yes; regardless of the religion/faith/cause, then who gives a frick if you don't think an aspect of it is real.

Also, why does everyone seem to be someone famous? If there are a set number of souls that just keep recycling then how is the population exploding? Any reincarnation experiences from the OT?

There are TONS of examples of children remembering past lives as soldiers, etc.

Most people can't remember what they did last week. And you expect them to remember previous lifetimes?

Can you recommend any books or reading material on this stuff?

There are a couple that are great for introducing this marriage of Eastern spirituality with modern quantum mechanics. One is called The Tao of Physics by Fritjof Capra and the other is The Dancing Wu Li Masters by Gary Zukav. Fascinating books and a fun read.

Actually, science is starting to discover that your subconscious mind is located outside of but intertwined with your physical body. Quantum mind. Memories are stored basically magnetically and energetically on a quantum level and therefore you have a physical location for them in the physical brain. The subconscious minds of all humans are connected outside of space and time to form a collective unconscious mind. Read up on some Jung too. He was a brilliant Swiss psychologist of the mid twentieth century who had a knack for marrying science and philosophy/spirituality. Another great book is Arthur Koestler's Ghost In The Machine.

So in this thread more than 1 person explains and expands the OP. I guess you didn't read all 3 pages. Let me summarize for you: ALIENS.

Red: Man, I'm just into Buddhism, and I'm at peace with the fact that me, as this person, probably gonna not be around. Think about a hermit crab, okay? And it's a shell. It's like, they go from one shell to the next. And that's what I am. I'm just a hermit crab changin' shells.

Dale Denton: Except if you're a dick your whole life, your next shell will be made of shite, okay? If you're an a-hole, you're gonna come back as a cockroach or a worm or a frickin' anal bead, okay? If you're a man and you act heroic, you'll come back as an eagle. You'll come back as a dragon. You'll come back as Jude Law, okay? Which would you rather be?

Red: Maybe the anal bead, depending on who it belongs to.

Dale Denton: Belongs to me.

Red: Then the dragon.

Rebeloke,

You should read about Dr. Courtney Brown's remote viewing research. Incredible implications that support reincarnation.

Also google Farsight Institute.
