If nothing was illegal what would happen?

Say something were to happen, theoretically, and suddenly there were no laws, nothing was illegal or off limits, what would happen?
Would society crumble? Are the majority of people morally good enough that they still wouldn't go around killing, stealing ect.? Would religion be enough to keep most a large portion of the population in line still?

Now in the 21st century? Large corporations would run the world transparently like organized crime syndicates. So basically like now without the pretense or need for politicians.

Religion is only successful when the world is at peace. It doesn't account for mayhem.
When shite breaks lose, some may keep their religious morals, but most would realize nothing is going to save them.
