If they can’t keep you from getting a mild cold, then what makes you think that they are keeping you from giving other people the mild cold?

If masks work...
Why does the box state they don't?
Surgeons wear these masks to prevent them from contaminating the patient. Do you really not understand how widespread use of face coverings can slow the spread of disease?

We're not surgeons and the patient death rate is 0.03%.

quote:No fricking doubt about that. But the fact remains that surgeons have worn masks for a century in order to reduce the risk of contaminating patients, and it's this principle behind the suggestion that everyone wear masks in public. This is a very basic thing, and it's inexcusable for any mentally capable adult to not understand how it works.

So the manufacturer of the masks is incorrect?

Masks are not for you
They help prevent you from spreading it to others

The reason per every “expert” that is being shoved down our throat by the media is that it’s to protect others
I’m over all of this bullshite

She also shared the story of how the volume of coronavirus patients has impacted patients suffering from any number of non-COVID illnesses. In this case O'Neal said a patient has had a surgery delayed three times since February.
That patient's cancer is now incurable.

I just checked a box at the grocery store of a different brand
It says
Imagine buying the mask hoax

What are they "supposed to do", other than reduce the transmission of COVID-19?
The box says: "THIS PRODUCT... WILL NOT PROVIDE *ANY* PROTECTION AGAINST COVID-19..."
Should the box say: "This product provides *plenty/some* protection against COVID-19"?

I am seriously concerned for the future of this country if so many people can't comprehend basic mitigation strategies.

So let me get this straight. You read:
quote:
WILL NOT PROVIDE *ANY* PROTECTION AGAINST COVID-19
As: "provides lots of protection but just not 100% effective"?
Perhaps you should should turn that concern of basic comprehension inwards.

Patients that are cut open? They wear gloves and face shields too. Who’s that protecting?
What's that got to do with the masks?

So you think everyone should wear a mask, right?
How many people live in the United States?
How many people are infectious and can spread COVID right now?
Then tell me how many healthy people are wearing a mask that don't need to be?
