I've seen people wearing those on the job and I suspect oxygen levels must be below OSHA standards.

What is the number for asymptotic positives? 40%+?

Logically, given the above percentage, we can safely assume that people that have tested positive are going out with masks already. Additionally, it would be safe to assume that people in the early stages of COVID are still going out and about. Throw in the hard headed types and my best guess is 2/3+ of people that are positive are out and about at this point. If I am correct in my guesstimate, then the question of “why are we going back to phase 1? or holding in phase 2?” seems like a logical questions to me.

FWIW, I am wearing a mask. but I don’t believe it is as effective as others say. I believe that the virus is airborne, and as such, “droplets” are a small part of the equation.

I used data from the Diamond Princess to form this opinion. People were in lockdown, in a controlled environment (cabins on a cruise ship), and yet the virus still spread. The culprit seemed to be the circulated air system. If so, that would suggest to me that it is primarily an airborne issue more so than a “droplet issue.”

My analogy, if you shite your pants, I may not get any shite on me, but I am sure it will still smell bad.

Again, masks may stop the droplets, but based on the size of the Coronavirus and the efficacy of the masks largely used by the public, they are largely ineffective if COVID is airborne.

Just my .02.

are we also closing down businesses?

mandating masks AND closing businesses seems excessive.

It's kind of amazing how many people don't have a grasp on simple concepts like probability. Either that or it's willful.

It's willful.
