No doubt Aaliyah was more talented. Better actress and singer who was on the rlse. Beyoncé is great but overrated. She gets the hate because she's smug and rides the Obama coat tails any chance she can.
I do agree Aaliyah gets some Cobain treatment but so what. It's like saying Jennifer Lopez is living the life Selena would have been.

I can't take those serious who say Aaliyah was a better singer than Beyoncé. Aaliyah was considered a mediocre singer. She was a great dancer and R. Kelly wrote great songs for her.

Most of the posters in this thread are talking out of their asses, Aaliyah was legit but Beyoncé is on another talent level as a performer/entertainer. I almost feel bad for yall who just cant separate politics from everything else in your lives.

I have to agree. I think Beyoncé is racist as frick and I've grown to hate her, but as a talent she was way ahead of Aaliyah.

Aaliyah was an r&b singer and pretty much every other r&b singer has faded into obscurity as that genre is dead.

Ya.. Beyonce has jaw dropping talent. I think she's a scummy person but i can separate those feelings to appreciate her performance abilities
