I know someone in her late 20s that does the same. She lives in BR, single, no kids, makes close to six figures and knows what she wants. She's had boyfriends but she can't have kids so they usually run away when they realize she 1) won't be a STAHM 2) give up her career or 3) some other stupid reason.

We (guys) can be idiots sometimes.

About 4 weeks ago, I was set up by a friend with a girl my age (27) who has 2 kids. Great girl and all but I was just not interested in her bc of the kids. Fast forward to this week and I meet another girl my age. Same situation. Also has two kids, except this time its from two different dudes.

Why can't I find the single ones who still have no kids

Really? The first thing that makes me run away is when a woman tells me she IS a full time stay at home mom. I guess some guys want that but not me. I say both the man and woman work, leading to both being able to retire earlier and actually enjoy their lives.

The typical gender roles are very strong in this area. All jokes aside, Louisiana is years behind a lot of the country in this respect. A lot of men just aren't used to a career minded woman here. Hell, women aren't either. Women in You me ask questions if you don't have a kid by 23.

I was up in NYC for 3 months earlier this year and you couldn't be more spot on. I was living with my cousin and I would often go out with her and her friends. All were in their 30s and had a good job and none had kids. I kept telling my cousin you would never find that in Houma, everyone has kids out of high school.

The concept of no kids is so foreign to women in the area. The ones at work that really know me literally say "there isn't anything wrong with you. You make good money, aren't bad looking, and have a house. Why don't you have kids?" Or some version of that. They are a product of their environment.

This is quite common in cities of moderate size.

Without knowing you, I can assure I've lived in more big cities than you, and have traveled more than you. I live in Louisiana Agin because it's the greatest place in the world.

Women who get to 35 without starting a family will regret it the rest of their life. Doesn't mater where they live, it is noteworthy when they're over 30, it becomes crunch time.

It doesn't mean they do not want a family. They probably want to meet the right person first. Man before sperm while here they want sperm before man

I'm so jealous of all my friends who have their SO and are all settled down. I want that too, but I don't want that with a girl who has kids already

Any girls at your restaurant still kidless??

I have kids but man what a depressing thought process that is. Not everyone needs to have kids to give meaning to their life.

A few. I have one that is about to get divorced, no kids, and will be a nurse. She makes real good money with me now.
