The ‘groundhog day’ effect is wearing thin. Every day is the same as before. We’re ok now, but this will get old real soon. Anyone have fun ideas for activities with family and/or spouses?

Since the pinewood derby was canceled, we build a homemade pinewood derby track.

My son is 16. We've been playing lots of golf together.

His short game has improved a lot this year. He's excited about getting better and wants to play all the time now.

Love playing with him. Good father son time.

Maybe youbcan take your kids to putt putt if real golf isnt an option due to age or something.

Edit
2 downvotes? what is wrong with you people?

I have no kids and I am alone, so I am shooting from the hip. Taking lots of walks, riding bikes, going fishing, star gazing. Get back to simpler things. Also, get them a TD account

Lady in front of me at Kroger yesterday was checking out with something like 10 items, and 7 of them were bottles of wine. She's got it figured out.

Paper airplane golf. Each person builds their own plane( with help from mom/ dad if needed) Pick targets and everyone counts attempts until Their plane hits target. Can be big like a couch for smaller kids or small like a lamp or framed picture for bigger kids. Move on to next target just like golf. Have a small prize for the winner (no participation awards here)

Then build gliders and see whose plane can stay in the air the longest.

Cheap and easy. And they will learn about design and building things too.

Role playing can keep things interesting in the bedroom, so maybe it can work with the kids. Just don't have your daughter put on the dirty maid costume.

Maybe role playing some current events would be fun. Put them in cages while you and the Mrs go on a long walk.

Those projects that the facebook moms are posting, where you make a design with masking tape on the sidewalk, and the kids color them in with chalk. I see those all over my neighborhood.

I've been teaching my daughter to skateboard when she finishes her schoolwork.

Or you could just do what us Gen-Xer's parents did, and just ignore the kids.
