Chimney swifts are Federally protected migratory birds, and besides, they eat a shite ton of mosquitoes and other flying insects while raising a family. So wait until the nestlings fledge (leave the nest), have the chimney swept and a cap installed.

If the mongoose won’t come out after then he should stick a honey badger up there.
