Why would they be upset? Dude will spend the rest of his life in prison and they don't have to relive this horrific crime again. Unless I'm missing something? Did they want the death penalty?
Because he gets to live while their loved ones don't.
I don't agree with the idea or opinion that life is worse than the death penalty.
Especially knowing he was worried and took this. Kind of sucks the deal takes this away.
It would disgust me to see the murderer of my family get to live, but that's me.

Respecfully, I think the family is ignorant in thinking the prosecution would rather spend more time, money, and resources going to trial when they get the result they want minus the extra work. Kohberger will never be free again and cannot appeal this decision. I get that they want blood in the heat of the moment, but this is truly a better outcome for the victims' families.

Everyone should want him dead yesterday. Not tomorrow, not today, it should have happened already.
What he did is absolutely sickening. And him getting life doesn't seem to match what should be done to him.
Better than him fully getting off, but I believe he would have been found guility and obviously he was worried to take this deal. He doesn't have to experience the terror they did.

Does he say why he did it? I feel bad for those familes. So many unanswered questions.

I don't disagree. I can't imagine having to sit in that courtroom and relive every disgusting, graphic detail of what that monster did to my child. Also, it doesn't give Bryan the satisfaction of getting to relive it, either.
If Kaylee's parents are being honest about not being informed that he was being offered and/or accepting a deal, though, that is bullshite and they have every right to be angry.

Well, yeah…. Should have happened already. It’s been how many years now?

Would have been three years in November.

Prison forever vs. Living in the ground forever doesn't seem like much of a deal.
Remember, if the case were tried, it would be years upon years of exhausting state resources and appeals, effectively reliving the events on multiple occasions. They do not just kill him immediately after. That is also assuming the jury votes for a death after reaching a guilty verdict, if my general knowledge on this is correct.

I like that he also gives up his right to appeal with this deal.

Very good point

I stumbled upon this 3D step by step modeling of the entire crime on YT. I highly encourage you to watch this since it’s very well done and includes timestamps.

Did anyone watch the Amazon doc?

Fascinating.
I'm really hoping he gives the why at sentencing, but I'm not holding my breath.

I posted a thread about in on the movie/tv board. It’s probably on the 3rd or 4th page by now.

I’d like to know if anything has ever surfaced on BK’s background in terms of animal abuse, other violence, or relationship problems with his mother? Those are all red flags in criminally profiling these type of killers. It could be a one off, but it’s scary how brutal he was on Nov. 12, ‘22 if that was his first.

If the unspeakable were to ever occur then there’s nothing I won’t go/sit through a hundred times over if it means justice is done.
