I just watched the video and tried to keep an open mind about it- but man, it was odd that the guy was lurking back and their body language towards him was definitely trying to box him out- the fact that he left immediately after they did...I think that warrants some questioning in this thing.

New details about Xana putting up a fight with the killer… makes me wonder if they would also have scratches or bruises.

If parent is correct I don’t know why the police wouldn’t have released this info. Killer might be a loner, but someone could have noticed some new scratches or bruises Sunday morning that had a suspicious explanation or were being hid.

Layout of apartment has not been described (that I have read) or where all found in apartment outside of the guy in hallway on 2nd floor I think (edit: now saying all found in beds), but if one or more put up a good fight I don’t know how the 2 not harmed didn’t hear something.

Outside of going to a party on campus I haven’t heard much on suspected timelines of the couple murdered and haven’t heard anything about what the 2 not harmed did that night.

Also, The code to door may have been shared with friends of each of the 5 residents or even the friends of boyfriend who stayed there some (or ex’s) if they had a lot of parties and people over. 3rd parties might have see it keyed in as well. If they weren’t in habit of changing code often it might not have been that secure.

Or remembered the food truck streams on Twitch.

Actual random acts like this are extremely difficult to solve

Hell most cities in the US have a murder close rate that is well below 50%. Not even solve rate. Just close rate.

True. There are 120,000 unsolved murders in the US.

Happens every weekend at bars all over the country. Girls are flirtatious inside, make conversation and get drinks bought for them. Guy thinks he has a chance but the girls immediately lose interest as soon as they leave the bar. He’s clueless until they walk off without even a good bye. Doesn’t make him a stone cold killer, just a young guy who hasn’t figured out the game yet.

It's an interesting video. The bigger guy with the beard pointed it out that the two girls just left with food at the 10:52 mark. The guy with the hoodie up then raises his hand up in a "WTF" meaning immediately right after. He appears to head their direction, and then quickly diverts the other way.

Odd video, but when people are intoxicated, they do odd things. It's something to look into, but highly, highly unlikely that he was involved.

Biggest thing from that article is it confirms they were all in their beds when they were stabbed.

So the 6’4 boyfriend wasn’t found in the hallway (like someone else posted).

Also turns out police have talked to guy from food truck & the 2 surviving roommates. Haven’t ruled any of them out yet, but sounds like they’re all “cooperating”

Fox News now saying that police can’t say if survivors are witnesses or suspects.

quote:

"These are people who may have seen the crime but on the flip side may have committed the crime," said Aaron Snell, communications director for the Idaho State Police. "We don’t know if they are witnesses, victims or suspects, so until we do a thorough investigation, naming them would be inappropriate."

This is going to get interesting.

6’4” dude and girlfriend in same bedroom? If so you would think there had to be a huge struggle. This gets weirder and weirder.

If they haven’t before now this should cause them to lawyer up.

Seems like a strange way to just say they aren’t naming anyone besides victims until they complete a more thorough investigation.

Not if the killer struck the man first. Apparently the girl friend did struggle, according to her father. They were probably asleep and the girlfriend was awakened by the commotion. She may have been the only one who was awake when she was killed.

I posted he was found on the hallway floor for a few minutes, then realized I read it wrong and it just said floor and changed it to the quoted statement. So that my have been my mistake.

I get not being sure if they are a suspect or not, but shouldn't it be pretty obvious whether they are victims or not?

It takes some strength and a ton of conviction to shove a knife through a man’s chest or slice a throat through the trachea. It’s not like the movies. Whoever did this had a shite ton of hate for these people or is a flat out psychopath. I have my doubts that a college girl could pull it off (referring to the two living roommates).

The local cops will try and do this themselves and botch the whole thing just like the Gabby Pitino fiasco

I’m starting to lean towards psychopath since there have been no reports of conflict between the victims and other people.

Ted Bundy went through that Florida State sorority with a bat, beating women to death. Said he couldn’t control himself.

This mass killer seems similar, only using a big knife. Hope they catch him soon. If not he may strike again.
